The chaos creeps forward. Punk has completed his rough draft of the second chronicle (as he does not rewrite, it is presumably therefore the final draft). I have taken to commenting on the chapters as he writes them, in the hope that I can steer him away from his worst excesses. And he has taken to including my commentary as part of the text. Something of a battle of wills being played in real time in a book. Let's call it Art, and give it a capital A.

Roger Quilty phoned from New York to say that he has recently sold a twenty show series to Showtime, and deliberately did not offer to become involved with the production, as he wants to reserve his time for the Vicar Chronicles. Fighting talk, as this project has yet to earn a dime. I fully share his belief.
